Hey Guys! Thank you all again for your support! All twenty pieces were sold in about 10-12 hrs!
Production is about 75 - 80% complete. All pieces have been cast, cleaned, primed and started painting. As of right now, I’m about 4-5 days behind schedule. Today was the 2 week mark that I was aiming for. I’ll keep everyone updated here on my blog.
Also, I’m still missing emails from 2 buyers. These two buyers sent payment but for some reason the email address attached to the paypal payment was incorrect. So please do contact me ASAP if you think you’re one of the two. I sent out confirmation emails to everyone after the purchase so if you did NOT receive one please do let me know!
Thanks again for the constant support! And for those that are first time supporters, WELCOME aboard!
Okay, I’m going to officially release my new fig on Thurs, Jan 28th @ 7pm pacific. The release will be held at my official website: www.tinyimports.com
There will be 20 pieces available for purchase. One per customer as usual. I’ll do my very best to let it loose at exactly 7pm pacific. If you have any questions feel free to contact me @ rohby@tinyimports.com.
And again, sorry for the delay in getting this little guy out! Here’s a few shots of the 3rd MGS2 piece.
This time around I hope to release 20 pieces rather than 10. The demand for this series has become quite high so I don’t want to disappoint any buyers. My official release date will be determined in a bit but will most likely be at the very end of this month. I’m still pondering how I should release it. I didn’t like it the way I did it last time since it ended up a bit messy.
I’ll let everyone know in a couple of days as I come up with a better plan of release.
It took quite a bit longer than expected, but all pieces are finally shipped! I’d like to thank everyone for being such a great sport! And thanks for the continued support as well!
Here’s all ten pieces standing tall just minutes from being packed away. Everyone should have received a confirmation email with tracking number by now. If not, please do let me know!
For my next MGS2 figure I plan on keeping it top secret up until the prototype is complete. I expect to have it done by the end of this month (Sept). And, will have the release around the same time. Stay tuned for more info!
SpetzNAZ ready for shipping in 3 days! Once packaged and shipped I’ll contact all buyers with their shipping confirmation numbers.
I often receive emails asking me about the process in which it takes to produce my own figures. Here’s a short clip I put together to share what it’s like to grind them out.
First thing I want to say is thanks to everyone for the patience!
Onto the progress details! The picture above was shot about a week ago. All of the pieces to Spetznaz was cast, cleaned and at that point was ready to be primered.
The current status is: All pieces have been painted and sitting to dry out. There’s a few pieces that need to be re-masked and a second color is to be added. I also need to draw in the eyes. Once these steps are complete and cured, I can then put on the final clear coat.
I’ll post up some updated pics in a couple days once the pieces are fully dry and out of the spray booth.
Here’s a quick shot of the pressure chambers in action! It took a couple of trial runs but eventually I got the timing down and was turning 1 full Spetz per 30 minutes. With the help of two tanks, ofcourse.
Thank you all for participating in the release last night! The figures sold out in about 20 minutes!
Okay, onto my WiFi Adventures! I take totaly responsibility for the opening delay last night. I think it was about 30 mintues or so past scheduled time. So, I thank you guys for your patience!
Due to poor scheduling I was forced to be away from my workstation for the whole release day. This meant I had to do all of the prep work offsite. I was chasing WiFi signals all day but found good connection at some bookstore/coffee house in Arcadia.
Around 6pm I had to leave that location for an important matter. At 6:45 I managed to locate a StarBucks. This is where my troubles began. Who knew that of all the StarBucks I went to, this is the one that had absolutely “NO” WiFi! Luckily there was an AT&T store with wifi on the other side of the complex. So I thought! I managed to get 2 bars and started to do the upload when all of a sudden I lost the connection. At that point the time was already past the deadline, 7pm.
A few more minutes went by with no hope. Then, the real luck came when my Brother’s GF offered to let me use her connection in her apartment not too far from where I was. So I quickly went to her location and finally set up the online shop.
-THE END-
Thanks again for those who supported the launch. I’ll post up a sketch of the upcoming figure soon!
Launch time is still on schedule! I’m stuck sitting in some coffee house / book store coding in the shopping cart. I’ll try my best to have it go live by 7pm to make it as fair as possible. But since I’m away from my work desk it’s going to be give or take 10-15 minutes.
Hi All, the official release date for SpetzNAZ is Tuesday 21, July (7pm). I’ll throw up a shopping cart on my main site (www.tinyimports.com). There will be 10 pieces available @ $125 USD for pre-order. The items are actually being produced and will take about 2 weeks time for shipping.
I released a bunch of pics and info to Toysrevil and they should be up very soon!
