Hi All! I decided to change to a different blog. The current one is kind of a pain to upkeep as I don’t like the format. Here’s the link to my new one which is much easier for me to update.

http://www.tinyimports.blogspot.com/

Also, as you may have noticed my webpage is lacking much updates as well and needs an overhaul but wont happen anytime soon. I learned how to create webpages back in the days when you used to code with html tables. It’s basically a bunch of coded tables stacked on more tables to create the layout you want. It’s a super pain to upkeep and this style of webpage programming is pretty much dead.

For me to overhaul my site I’d have to relearn webdesign and I just don’t have that kind of time right now. Most of my current projects can be viewed through my “flickr” account. There’s a link at the top of my homepage. I’ll also try my best to update my new blog.

Metallic Machinations Exclusive

Saturday, November 20th, 2010

I’m putting together some box art for my next MGS release. This is going to be an exclusive and will not effect the 4th MGS release (Raiden). Think of this as a bonus figure.

It’ll be released during the Metallic Machinations show @ TAG. Wondering what this MGS figure has to do with the theme of the show (machines)? It comes with a little sidekick that so happens to be machine.

TAG Group Show

Saturday, November 20th, 2010

Metallic Machinations, this is going to be held at TAG (Toy Art Gallery) on either the 11th or 15th of Dec. I’m confused at the moment. I’m guessing it’s not the 15th since that falls on a Wednesday. The show will showcase work from Cris Rose, DrilOne, Phu!, Jester, and my dumbass self.

For the show I’ll be doing a bit of a remix with some of my past pieces. I WANTED to come in strong and build completely new pieces since I’m up against four great artists, but i’m so backed up at this moment that i’m going to play it safe with a remix.

“Ocelot” Progress Update

Friday, February 12th, 2010

Hey Guys! Thank you all again for your support! All twenty pieces were sold in about 10-12 hrs!

Production is about 75 - 80% complete. All pieces have been cast, cleaned, primed and started painting. As of right now, I’m about 4-5 days behind schedule. Today was the 2 week mark that I was aiming for. I’ll keep everyone updated here on my blog.

Also, I’m still missing emails from 2 buyers. These two buyers sent payment but for some reason the email address attached to the paypal payment was incorrect. So please do contact me ASAP if you think you’re one of the two. I sent out confirmation emails to everyone after the purchase so if you did NOT receive one please do let me know!

Thanks again for the constant support! And for those that are first time supporters, WELCOME aboard!

Sneak Peak “YoungGUNZ” Ocelot

Thursday, January 21st, 2010

And again, sorry for the delay in getting this little guy out! Here’s a few shots of the 3rd MGS2 piece.

This time around I hope to release 20 pieces rather than 10. The demand for this series has become quite high so I don’t want to disappoint any buyers. My official release date will be determined in a bit but will most likely be at the very end of this month. I’m still pondering how I should release it. I didn’t like it the way I did it last time since it ended up a bit messy.

I’ll let everyone know in a couple of days as I come up with a better plan of release.

“YoungGUNZ” Ocelot

Friday, November 20th, 2009

Sorry for the delay! I ran into an urgent project in the middle of all this. I’m back on it!

Here’s a few pics of the 3rd piece in the MGS2 series. It’s Ocelot as a youngster with his fake azz mustache.

Please do stay tuned for more info on release time. Thanks again for the patience!

SpetzNAZ Shipped!

Wednesday, September 9th, 2009

It took quite a bit longer than expected, but all pieces are finally shipped! I’d like to thank everyone for being such a great sport! And thanks for the continued support as well!

Here’s all ten pieces standing tall just minutes from being packed away. Everyone should have received a confirmation email with tracking number by now. If not, please do let me know!

For my next MGS2 figure I plan on keeping it top secret up until the prototype is complete. I expect to have it done by the end of this month (Sept). And, will have the release around the same time. Stay tuned for more info!

Spetz Production Shots

Thursday, August 13th, 2009

First thing I want to say is thanks to everyone for the patience!

Onto the progress details! The picture above was shot about a week ago. All of the pieces to Spetznaz was cast, cleaned and at that point was ready to be primered.

The current status is: All pieces have been painted and sitting to dry out. There’s a few pieces that need to be re-masked and a second color is to be added. I also need to draw in the eyes. Once these steps are complete and cured, I can then put on the final clear coat.

I’ll post up some updated pics in a couple days once the pieces are fully dry and out of the spray booth.

Here’s a quick shot of the pressure chambers in action! It took a couple of trial runs but eventually I got the timing down and was turning 1 full Spetz per 30 minutes. With the help of two tanks, ofcourse.
